Highlights

  • Employers (Contractors) are required to follow the local hiring procedures of the applicable craft that exists in the area of where the work is to be performed.
    • Owners are not signatory to the Agreement
    • 14 building trades crafts
    • Agreement does not cover superintendents, office/clerical personnel, company management as defined by the NLRA.

 

  • If a local union is unable to provide the requested manpower within forty-eight (48) hours (excluding weekends & Holidays) then the Employer can obtain employees from any source.

 

 

  • The Employer has the right to determine the competency of all employees.

 

  • The Employer shall determine crew-size as well as when and whom to lay-off.

    • Provides clarification that reverse layoff procedures are not recognized for work performed under the NMA.
